I’m sitting here watching this show. Very cool idea for the show and the travel channel defintely has some great shows. I think I could like this show, but man is this head travel writer, charles, getting annoying. I’m a fan of anthony bourdain and house and shows where cynicism is a critical part of the show and I enjoy it. All this guy has done so far is whine about almost everything. I don’t know if I can put up with this guy through another episode.
Saw your new show tonight, it was awesome. Torres del Paine National Park was so unbelievably beautiful and so serene. For that kind of beauty I can handle the mosquitoes. You have given me to a new location to add to my bucket list of places I want to go and experience. Emphasis on experience. I’m a fan of the show after just one episode. I’ve already started to check out what a trip like that will cost me. I have a savings acct and I use my savings strictly for travel. Somewhere I’ve never been before.. And I like you, love to go exploring and talk to the locals and really soak up the culture.
Charles Runnette should not be given credibility – he is the Rush Limbaugh visitor to Chile. Having visited Santiago, the wine country, and Torres del Paines (but not Valparaiso), I find his perspectives inaccurate and culturally inappropriate. I will not watch this program again and can only hope that the Travel Channel is not locked into some sort of long-term contract with Charles Runnette.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the show! Charles is awesome – he may be cantankerous, curmudgeony and downright whiney at time, but he is a great host and makes the show!! I look forward to more of these episodes!!

This guy is a self absorbed snob, send him to Cuba and lets hope he gets arrested.
